I hope you rang in the New Year with a bang. I know I did 🙂
I LOVE this time of year. For me, it’s a time of reflection and growth. Reviewing, mentally, 2015 and thinking about what goals I achieved and those I did not. Thinking about why some things were easy and went better than expected and why other things were difficult or didn’t happen at all.
Whatever the case, it doesn’t matter. The point is that you learn something from the good and the bad. Because life is about experiences. Learning from those experiences. And then moving on to create even better experiences.
Today is a new day, a new year, a new start. Whatever crappy things happened yesterday or last year or even the last decade…check ‘em at the door.
It’s time to start fresh. In 2016, your new body is Just waiting for you!

So, today I want to give you a simple, yet powerful tip someone taught me many moons ago. If you’re an self-reflecting, inward-looking kind of person, this will help you with your fitness (and all aspects of your life, really). I know it’s helped me tremendously:
It’s, “The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results.”
There is so much power in that one short sentence. But it really wakes you up, doesn’t it?
Anyway the point is, if New Year’s resolutions haven’t worked for you in the past (when it comes to your weight and fitness goals), take a minute now to reflect on what is you’ve done in the past to achieve those goals.
Whatever that is, it doesn’t matter anymore. Time to move forward.
